For the love of pie!

Day 17: the Toaster House, Top of the World, Pie Town and Quemado, 0 miles, ~315 miles total

Today was amazing in so many ways. I’m still trying to compose and articulate what I have felt about living for a day in Pie Town.

I’ll leave at this for now:

-it’s not everyday you go to the Top of the World to do your laundry

-given the opportunity, I can eat 10 slices of pie (New Mexico apple, sweet potato, pecan, raspberry ginger, blueberry ginger, chocolate cream, apple cranberry, strawberry rhubarb, chocolate chess, peach pepper)

-the list of trails I want to hike in the Southwest is growing

-income is not an indicator of the richness if one’s life

This what you should do when you get to Pie Town.

Brother Bear and Hikes. The boys found the Santa Fe Brewing Company's Happy Camper IPA. Good stuff!
